In accordance with Google Play Store User Data Safety guidelines and our commitment to student privacy, BatchCorner provides a straightforward, transparent mechanism to permanently delete your account and all associated personal records.

What Data Will Be Deleted

  • Student Identity: Name, phone number, email address, password hashes.
  • Academic Records: College name, department, branch, student year.
  • SmartPass Credentials: QR event access tokens, entry history, badges.
  • Profiles & Social Links: GitHub, LinkedIn, portfolio links, skills tags.
  • Mentorship Logs: Direct mentor bookings, reviews, and session records.

Data Retained & Retention Period

As permitted by law and Google Play User Data policies, limited records may be retained for legitimate legal, accounting, or security requirements:

  • Anonymized Hackathon Leaderboards: Public project titles and team rankings remain visible to maintain historical contest integrity, but all personal names are decoupled or marked as "Anonymous Builder".
  • Financial & Bounty Logs: Transaction records for hackathon prize payouts are retained for financial auditing compliance as required by Indian tax statutes.
  • Security & Anti-Abuse Logs: IP address hashes linked to severe security violations are retained in cold storage for up to 90 days before automated deletion.

In-App Deletion Instructions (Mobile)

You can also trigger account deletion directly from the BatchCorner Android / iOS mobile app:

  1. 1Open the BatchCorner app and tap your Profile Avatar.
  2. 2Navigate to Settings → Security & Privacy.
  3. 3Scroll to the bottom and select Delete My Account.
  4. 4Confirm with your student OTP or biometric authentication.
